Websites that fit the place.

I'm Alasdair — I design, build and look after websites for Lake District cafés, shops and trades. One person, one dog, no call centre.

What I can do for you

Everything a small local business actually needs — nothing it doesn't.

Website design and build

From first sketch to finished site: design that looks like your business, built to load fast on a phone in a windy car park.

Content you can edit yourself

Change your prices, hours and photos without ringing anyone. I'll show you how — it takes an afternoon, not a manual.

Hosting, care and updates

I look after the technical side: hosting, backups, security and small changes, so you can get on with the shop.

Local SEO and content

Be findable when someone searches for what you do, in the town where you actually do it. Real pages, real words, no tricks.

How it works, roughly

No agency process, no jargon. A few conversations and some honest work.

  1. We talk

A brew, a walk round your place, or a phone call. Tell me what you do and what you want the website to do. You'll get a plain-English price, not a quote spreadsheet.

  2. I build

The site takes shape in front of you — first a rough look, then the real thing with your photos and words. Two rounds of changes are built in.

  3. You're in charge

I hand it over with a walkthrough and stay around for the bits and bobs. You change the everyday things; I look after everything else.

One person, start to finish

You deal with me: the same person who designs it, builds it and picks up the phone when something needs changing. No account managers, no ticket numbers.

I live here. I want your website to make your business look as good as it actually is. More about me.

Tell me what you do.

Drop me a line with a bit about your business. I'll reply with honest thoughts and a plain price — whether or not we end up working together.
